so i decided yesterday while relaxing in the shade in beihai park, beijing. even if the internet is a little bit truncated, and there are a few repressive measures against free speech and whatever, it is still a great country that offers fifty cent egg and lettuce pancakes in the morning, thirty kinds of vegetarian dumplings in the evening, and sunshine all day long. and even if flickr won’t display, apparently i can still blog. we have been here two days, already sorted out a hutong flat with roof terrace to rent, and are thoroughly enjoying the good life that beijing has to offer.
