as you can see from the rh sidebar, i’m on twitter now… nothing like a spell in china to give you an appreciation for microblogs and media feeds.

new matilda and overland are both asking for support to continue providing readers with thoughtful, independent content and commentary. both these publications have been enormously supportive of my writing over the last five or six years. so obviously i will be supporting them both in return – and i hope you will too.

NM’s crowdfunding model is interesting, and sort-of-working. i’m glad she’s almost 1/3 funded, but i have to admit i hoped for a bigger flood of initial support. after all, if each of these fine publications had a dollar for every time someone complained about the state of the media in this country, they’d be in a far healthier state.
